I'm actually updating all of my blogs in one day.... wow. Well, not much news around here. Except that my youngest brother became a Christian this week! PTL! And our family is scattered out right now. My bro. comes back from MO tonight, so there'll be 5 at home. Life is good. Not much of interest to report on. Maybe I'll find some more pics to post one of these days.... God bless ya'll.

I know I should update but I don't have that much inspiring news to share. So, Shelle, here's your update.... :-) Just for the record, I got to sell my favorite entertainment center today, so that was cool. All in all, I had a good day. God Bless ya'll!

Man, it's time to update again, I guess. Ok, Shelle. Well, if you guys ever want to see me nervous, just come to the store and ask me about bedroom furniture while the mattress rep is standing there watching. Wow! He was just reminding me about the fundamentals of the sale when a customer walked in and it was up to me to talk to her and find out what she was looking for. Turned out she wanted a certain kind of furniture that we didn't carry but if she can't find it locally, she'll look for something else, perhaps from us. I didn't really know the rep before that, but I got to know him a little better after that. He's a fairly likeable guy. So, hope you guys all had a GREAT day!! :-)

Things to do before I die....
1. Carry the Gospel somewhere where it has never been.
2. Learn Spanish and possibly French fluently.
3. Develop a closer relationship with God.
4. Get married if the Lord wills.
5. Raise a family if the Lord wills.
6. Move to a less-populated area, preferably out west.
7. Own a ranch.

1. Roll my R's. (hate it!)
2. Speak a second language fluently.
3. Wiggle my ears.
4. Get caught for speeding (so far, knock on wood) :-)

Just a quick update... Today was Vision Quest! And we were honored to have none other than Rick Loy, VP of the Eastern Region, as our special guest. This guy is awesome!!! Ok, here's a little more info on my new job. Country Lane Furniture is a retail furniture store in Annville, PA. We sell dining, bedroom, office, living room, and occasional furniture. Last week we had a booth at the Lebanon Home Builders Show. Here's a couple pics from our booth.

The last century

Do we ever stop and realize how much has happened in the last century. From automobiles to airplanes to civil rights to space travel, etc... I was just reminded again when I heard Kenny G's song "Auld Lang Syne (Millenium Edition)". It's a unique rendition of the famous song with snatches of famous sayings taken from original recordings. Sayings like "I have a dream", "Ask not what your country can do for you...", etc... Just impressed me again how much we take for granted and don't think about how good we have it because of the effort of those before us. May those behind us benefit from what we do from day to day.

Had an awesome afternoon at Ken and Fay Horning's. After dinner we went for rides in Ken's '04 Shelby Cobra 427 replica. Talk about one Suweeeet car!!!! The exhaust rumble is what every male dreams of hearing from HIS vehicle some day. It's amazing!! This car is a two-seater. And a tight one at that. The guy Ken bought it from said you don't get in this car--you put it on. If you ever ride in one you'll see he's right. But man is it fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Covered Bridge

We're slowly making progress on our "rustic" covered bridge. Most of the lumber came from an "antique" (read dilapidated) shed we tore down earlier this year. Dad got a bright idea to use the wood to make a bridge across the stream behind our house. Since we're making a picnic area on the other side at the same time, it was a good move. Hopefully we will get the tin on this Sat. I'll post more pics when it's done, hopefully. Below is how it looked after we got the trusses up on Sat.

Our sympathies go out to the Curvin Ebersole family who lost their wife and mother in an accident involving a run-away horse on Sun. nite, and to the Jeff Schrock family who lost all their 5 children in a head-on collision Tues. nite. Let's keep them in our prayers.

Hey don't know how many of y'all saw this before but here is a pic of Jess's buck from last year. He jst got it back in September. This taxidermist is good so it was worth the wait. This thing creates a Presence in our living room! Makes the room look small. :-) By the way, this is a Lancaster County buck! The taxidermist said lots of people were asking if it came from Canada because of the mass of the rack. Hope you hunters have a successful season!! :-)

yeah okay here's an update. was gone all weekend and had a great time down in TX at Advocare's Success School. It was a power-packed weekend and I'd do it again any time. Everything went like clockwork--flights, shuttles, hotels, etc.. until we were on the way home from BWI. We got a late flight in and didn't get in till after midnight. So we're heading up I-83 and the driver apparently dozed jst long enough to get the front driver's side tire over the edge of the road. Of course his first impulse was to countersteer which resulted in a fancy 180 degree spin in the middle of the road and we smashed into the guardrail on the other side of the road (We didn't realize until the next day that if we had gone through the guardrail we would have somersaulted down a 60 foot slope and probly wouldn't have made it). The other miracle was that we ended up in the fast lane (after doing another 180) and had time to push it off the road before any traffic came. It was like 1:30 in the morning I believe. We didn't get home till about 5:00 in the morning (we had to wait for Dad and Mom to come down and pick us up). By the way we were still in MD when it happened. So the car is totalled but we're allright (miraculously) except I have a little whiplash. So I spent the first half of the day sleeping and went to the chiropractor in the eve. So much for my weekend. Hope you guys had a good one.

Hey one of the coolest things you can do with IM is get a headphone/mic setup and do audio conversations. There isn't any minute limit or other charges so it's kinda like a cool computer phone, if you will.
